Virginia Economic Development Partnership
When I joined the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) in 2021, the organization lacked defined values and culture. Within a year, however, the Organizational Development (OD) and Leadership Excellence division was established, quickly building a strong culture and implementing a foundational framework for all employees. Because of my experience in building company culture and my passion for mentoring on core values, I assisted them with their roll-out, an opportunity that led to future collaborations and partnerships between me and the OD team.

The Purpose + Values initiative was part of the initial push to develop company culture across VEDP. I supported the Organizational Development team by co-facilitating presentations on what this is and how it will affect employees going forward, and by sharing my own experience in this capacity.

Brand cohesion is essential for any organization. While the Marketing and Communications team managed brand standards, other divisions did not always adhere to them. To address this, I developed a company-wide brand training to help all VEDP members understand the impact of brand and their individual roles in maintaining it. The training emphasized how every division and position contributes to the overall integrity of the brand.
